ORANGE is in the air (Sneak Peek)

Last Saturday I worked with a really fun team, all girls, on a shoot for Fashion Quarterly Magazine.
This was the first magazine that I ever worked with about two years ago.
I had GORGEOUS canvases to work with: Danica O'connell and Jade Corinne (no ties). They are both so sweet and fun to work with.
Chesley Tollentino and Lucy did an amazing job with wardrobe and creative direction.
Alice was the photographer for the magazine but these pictures are the behind the scenes and sneak peek courtesy of Chesley, she is SO talented!

I normally forget the products that I use because I just mix different products all the time (habit that started years ago when I did oil painting) but this time I paid close attention to the colors because i wanted to share them with all of you.

FACE
-After prepping the skin and moisturizer I used a light layer of Laura Mercier's primer followed by my favorite foundation Face and Body --Make Up For Ever (I used a couple of colors to do the highlights and contour as natural as possible)
-I then applied HD bush #6- I still don't know how I feel about this product because sometimes its very dry but I decided to give it a try and I used my fingers to blend.
-I used a shimmery highlighter by too face: Snow Bunny- go very light on it because its very shimmery.
to finish I lightly set the makeup with a translucent powder from Laura Mercier. mostly on the "T" zone because i wanted to keep the dewy finish.

EYES
-I love love prepping the eyes with a cream eyeshadow first. This time I used bare canvas by MAC
-as a base I used Naked pigment by MAC and for the contour I used 164 by MUFE. I only wanted some definition on the eye instead of intense color.
- I finished with Voluminous mascara in black.

LIPS
-I lined the lips with "light" a nude lip liner from Smashbox.
please don't hate me but I didn't have an orange lipstick so I made my own :) I combined a red orange lipstick with a yellow cream from Ben Nye.
Everybody loved the color but I don't think anybody noticed that I didn't have an actual orange lipstick, ha
