The Ruche lookbook "A Southern Romance" launched today!!!!!!!
I'm so grateful to be part of such an amazing team and talented group of people. I love working with them, they are family.
You need to see the complete lookbook, click here. I LOVE all the outfits.
This time I paid close attention to the products I used to create the look to be able to share them with all of you.
I had so much fun creating this look inspired by my favorite movie of all times: The Notebook.
It was very important to keep the makeup soft and romantic but I still added sass by focusing on the eyebrows and lips.
Bellow you can see the products that I use in the order that I applied them.
I used 3 different colors of foundation to create natural contours and highlights on her face. the main color is #20 by MUFE (make up for ever- available at sephora) so for the highlight I used 2 shades lighter and for the contour 2 shades darker than #20.

As you probably noticed, the lips chanced with the looks. I used fabulush cream base my MAC as the base but kept adding a reddish lip color (#20 by MUFE) or a raspberry color (#34 by MUFE) depending on the look that I wanted to achieve.
To add more pop to the eyes I used a full strip of lashes longer on the outer corner to give her the flirty sassy look without making it obvious, these little details make the whole look :)

Behind the Scenes
we really worked hard to make these amazing images. Our schedule was very tight so we had to change the looks on our way to the different locations in the minivan. Thank goodness that the van had an actual outlet where i could plug the curling iron!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I was just wondering yesterday if Ruche was going to share who did all of the lovely makeup for this photo shoot. You did a fantastic job! I'm a fair skin gal and it's sometimes difficult to find good makeup, so thanks for this!
ReplyDeleteHi Rachelle,
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun working on this lookbook.
I'm so glad that this information was helpful to you. If you are very fair MAKEUP FOREVER has one of the best fair colors #38,it wont make you look ashy. I recommend that you go to sephora and play with the colors to see wich one is better for you.
Awesome! Thanks so very much for the advice! Wish you could give me a makeup and hair makeover :) I will head over to Sephora for sure to check that out! Again, great job! This has been my favorite Ruche lookbook by far! And, I'm with you, The Notebook is one of my favorites as well!
